For over 20 years, Learn to Love has supported more than 400 differently-abled children every year, all of them living in poverty. That means daily meals, therapy, accessible schools, the arts, and job training.
Education alone isn't enough. Our five programs work together to support students' health, learning, independence, and happiness.
Painting, music, and dance draw out creativity, and a group of student artists sell their paintings in a self-sustaining program.
Physical therapy, speech therapy, and counseling, plus hot, fresh meals and supplements that bring students out of malnourishment.
Older students learn computer skills, crafts, and workshop trades, with support through the transition into real jobs.
Wheelchairs, accessible school buses, and building renovations that let differently-abled students be independent.
Parties, toys, sports, and dance workshops, because the best parts of childhood belong to every child.
Learn to Love began in 2004, supporting SEC and IAPACW, two organizations changing the lives of hundreds of children. In 2006 we became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Two decades on, we fund the meals, therapy, equipment, and accessibility work that let more than 400 students a year learn and grow.
The SEC schools' old squatting toilets were unsafe, unsanitary, and impossible for our students to use, and kept kids home from school. With our donors' support, we rebuilt them into clean, accessible restrooms for the 400+ students who attend each year, and they proudly named them the "Bollywood bathrooms."
